Blogmas Day 15: A Look Back at Sunny Sider Crafts

Hello Sunny Siders, we are on Blogmas day 15. It is crazy how fast Blogmas has been flying by, but I have truly enjoyed how it has helped me to get into the holiday spirit.

Today, is a blog I have been so very excited for, which is a look back at my small business Sunny Sider Crafts.

This was a really big year for Sunny Sider Crafts, as I took the leap and started an Etsy shop in February. I went through the entire process of setting up an LLC to incorporate my business, established a specific bank account, and got all of the supplies to get my business of the ground.

Throughout the year, I launched 24 die cut stickers and 5 sticker sheets, with most designs being my own original ideas. I did get a little bold and started creating stickers inspired by my favorite shows which was something I felt so proud of.

I also designed and creating all the shops branding, including business cards that I am genuinely so proud of.

I also expanded from Instagram into TikTok and had a few posts perform really well which was super rewarding for marketing my business.

Without getting into the financials, I wanted to break down some of the numbers from the shop.

The shop had 27 sales in 2025, with 5 sales from people that I didn’t’ know personally. This was probably my proudest accomplishment, as I did not expect to get any sales outside of friends and family supporting the business. Knowing that people happened to find my shop and order without knowing me was huge, and I am so incredibly grateful for all the support.

My top five best sellers of 2025 were:

  • K-pop Demon Hunters Soda Pop Sticker
  • K-Pop Demon Hunters Derpy and Sussie Sticker
  • K-Pop Demon Hunters Derpy Sticker
  • Avatar the Last Airbender Jasmine Dragon Tea Sticker
  • K-Pop Demon Hunters Sussie Sticker

Looking forward to 2026 I am so excited for what is in store for Sunny Sider Crafts.

Sunny Sider Crafts has always had the slogan “Stickers and Salutations” and in 2025 we focused solely on stickers. However, throughout the year I was hard at work designing greeting cards so we could have a surplus to launch in 2026.

I am some really unique ways I am planning to bring these greeting cards to life so stay tuned to see those sometime in the new year!

Another big thing I am excited for in 2026 is some additional branding items that I have been hard at work designing. I have a new freebie sticker design that will be available with every order that I am so happy with how it turned out!

I transformed the business branding into a sticker where our mascot Booster the ghost is running the shop!

Building off of the freebie design, I also created some personalized thank you cards to come with every order so I can express my appreciation for everyone who supports the shop.

Anyways, we have so much to look forward to in 2026 for Sunny Sider Crafts and I can’t wait to bring you all along for the ride!

How I Imagine the Demon Slayer Hashiras as Beverages

Hello Sunny Siders, I hope you all are having a wonderful day. Today, I am sharing some drawings I did inspired by the Demon Slayer Hashira and explaining why I think they are the beverages I chose.

Starting with the Water Hashira Giyu, I felt he’d be a classic cold brew coffee. This is because Giyu in the show is always feeling like he is not like the other Hashira and doesn’t fit in, so an unsweetened black coffee is the epitome of I am different than all of you. Also, Giyu is very stoic and not vying for the center of attention, but is integral to the shows plot, making a classic unassuming coffee perfect for him. Sometimes, simple is as good as it gets!

The exact opposite of Giyu is Tengen, the Sound Hashira. He is as flashy and flamboyant as they come, even calling himself the “God of Festivities.” He wants everything bold and over the top, which is why I felt a hibiscus lemon iced tea would be perfect. Not only does it complement his color pallet, but it adds that zing of energy that I imagine Tengen requires. Also, the beverage has tons of edible shimmer glitter in the drink to make it extra flashy.

Following Tengen, we have Gyomei the Stone Hashira. He is physically the strongest Hashira, which is why I felt a beverage that requires the strongest of pallets to enjoy would fit him perfectly. Gyomei is a hojicha latte, which is a roasted green tea latte that has very strong flavors, just like his strength. I added Okinawa black sugar, as it looks like rocks, perfect to resemble the Stone Hashira.

Shinobu, the Insect Hashira, is known for killing demons with wisteria poison that she has crafted. This makes a butterfly pea tea with lemon to be the perfect fit for her. Her iconic haori that looks like butterfly wings and her butterfly hair clip, made butterfly pea tea the obvious choice. Also, since the tea is known for being color changing, it felt right up her alley given she’s into chemistry. The final touches for this drink were shimmer powder and a sprig of wisteria!

The Love Hashira Mitsuri is known for her hair that turned green and pink from eating sakura mochi for 8 months straight. Naturally, her beverage had to be a matcha latte with sakura foam to represent her beautiful hair color. Also, pink goes perfect with her style of breathing: love!

I thought the Serpent Hashira Obanai would be best represented by a black sesame latte with ube foam. Obanai has a black and white striped haori which is represented in the straw and by the sesame latte. The ube foam adds a bit of sweetness, but only for the people he cares about most. I also chose ube over another kind of foam because serpent breathing tends to be represented as purple when fighting!

Now, for my personal favorite Hashira, the Flame Hashira Kyojuro. Since he loves all things that are umai (tasty) and practices flame breathing, I knew a spicy chai latte would be perfect for him. I decided on adding blood orange and torched cinnamon to better represent the flame breathing style. This beverage is spicy and not for the faint of heart, exactly how Kyojuro would like it.

The Wind Hashira Sanemi has a very bold and sometimes controversial personality. However, on the inside he really is trying to work through all the pain he’s endured because of demons. For this, I felt a calming iced jasmine matcha would help to bring upon relaxation but also be energizing for taking down the demons. There is no fluff to this drink: no sugar, no sparkles, just jasmine tea and matcha working together to make an earthy drink. I imagine Sanemi doesn’t like the fluff in his beverages anyway. I went with matcha as Sanemi’s sword is green and Wind breathing is often represented as such.

Last but certainly not least we have the Mist Hashira Muichiro. Muichiro is the youngest Hashira, only 14 years old, which means no harsh caffeine for the child! Instead, I went for a pea flower latte with lavender syrup. Muichiro needs the calming energy in his life as he tries to regain his lost memories. The variations of blue in the pea flower latte represent the color of mist breathing, and there’s a dried ice floater on top to represent the mist of his breathing style and what is clouding his memories.

I truly had so much fun with this project. It was really fun getting to imagine some of my favorite characters as beverages and to add my own artistic spin!

If you are a Demon Slayer fan and enjoy these pieces, I just launched a sticker sheet on my Etsy featuring all nine designs!

I’m Opening an Etsy Shop!

Hello Sunny Siders, I hope you all have been having a great start to 2025! I know the blogs have been sporadic since Blogmas and there is a reason for it, which I am finally able to share. I am opening an Etsy shop to sell my digital art!

I thought this would be a fun blog to share a little bit about what this process has looked like along with giving you all a first look at the products that will be available at launch.

The shop officially launches February 3rd, but I am giving the blog readers early access via this link: http://sunnysidercrafts.etsy.com

Making of the Shop

Let’s begin with the process of setting up my small business and making my shop. I wanted to take all the precautions and started actually by consulting with a lawyer to set up my business as part of an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation). I wanted to make sure that my business was able to remain separate from my personal assets so we worked together to create an LLC tied to my art. I even created a savings account and got a credit card all in the name of my business so as to keep it distinct and separate from my personal finances.

Once the LLC was set up, I started developing my Etsy shop. I created a new email just for my business and began going through the proper process to set up my shop. As part of setting up your Etsy shop you have to list an item, so I took a break to start designing my products.

Making of the Products

I invested in a few new pieces of technology to help me streamline my business. The first was a color printer for printer my sticker sheets. The second was a Cricut Explore 3 for designing and cutting the stickers, and the final item was an iPad for taking my art to the next level!

I spent a lot of time and trial and error to get my stickers to a place where I was happy with the quality. I tested a few different brands of sticker paper and even settings on my printer and Cricut before getting to the products I was proud with.

The shop will be launching with both individual die cut stickers and sticker sheets, both of which I am so proud of!

Once I made some test versions of my products, it was time to take photos so I could finish listing them on Etsy. Below are a few of the designs that will be available with the launch of the shop!

Designing the Shop Branding

Once all my designs were ready and my shop was created, I had to create the branding for Sunny Sider Crafts. This involved designing business cards and creating assets to be used for the shops logos, banners, and listings.

I decided I wanted my shop to have the feel of a cafe, so I created a banner with an awning and signs to serve as drop downs for the shops name and tagline (shout out to my grandma for creating the tagline).

I really loved the way the banner art turned out, so I infused it into the listing images as well.

Listing the Products

The final step was to list the products. Not going to lie this took a very long time. I had to create ALT text for each image, which is essentially a description of what the photo is.

Each listing required a description of the product, an explanation of materials used, and relevant tags for SEO optimization.

I also had to determine what the shipping process for each listing would be, as well as roughly how large the items would be when ready for shipping to ensure accurate prices.

The back end work was tedious, but I took it slow and managed to get everything listed over the course of a few days.

Finishing Touches

The last step was to add final touches to the Etsy Shop. This included creating an about section for the shop, which I infused the concept of running a cafe through the verbiage.

I also finalized shipping, return, and cancellation policies to ensure Sunny Siders have all the relevant information they need when preparing to make a purchase.

I am so proud of myself for taking the leap to start this business. It has been a lot of work the last few weeks, but I am so so proud of everything that will be available at launch. If you like cute stickers or know someone who does, please feel free to peruse my shop and see if there is something you like!

My Plan is to launch more products including greeting cards and bookmarks over the next few months! If I want to do that, it’s time to get back to doodling!

Digital Art Commissions are Open!

Hey Sunny Siders!

Today’s blog is more of an exciting announcement! I’ve officially opened commissions for my art!

Attached here is a link to the commission form for anyone interested:

For those interested, the commission requests can be virtually anything as long as it’s not offensive or vulgar in nature. And it doesn’t have to be ghosts! I’ve just been enjoying doodling ghosts since it was Spooky Season.

I also wanted to share a few more of my drawings as of late to celebrate this new venture I’m starting!

Digital art has become such a fun creative outlet and I’m so excited to take my passion and create amazing cute pieces for others!

I was inspired by a drawing I saw on social media from Bookbabedesigns.shop and decided to make a version of her book bookstore and cafe in my art style!
An apple cider latte with a cute little hedgehog enjoying a quick soak
A pumpkin spice latte with a little bear enjoying a cozy soak
Two ghosts getting engaged in a graveyard – this might just be a topic for the next blog…
The ghost boo-ristas running a spooky coffee shop
A witch studying in her office
The second parfait in my animal series – this one is a matcha latte frog!
