Hey Sunny Siders, I’m continuing the tradition from last year and sharing some of my favorite anime’s I’ve watched this year! I’m trying only to share ones that I didn’t share last year, so if you’re interested in a longer list feel free to refer to that old blog post!
Buddy Daddies
If you’ve seen Spy x Family and enjoyed it, you’ll love this one. This anime follows two assassins who end up having to take care of a little girl. It’s super adorable and a very emotional at times, but one of my favorites from this year!
Chainsaw Man
If you like insane action, you need to watch Chainsaw Man. Everything about this anime is put into high gear, and you’ll be on the edge of your seat the entire time!
Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill
For those who love a little fantasy mixed with cooking, you’ll really enjoy this anime. It sounds ridiculous based on the title, but the story is really captivating. It’s got a lovable cast of characters, fantastic action sequences, and delicious food.
Cowboy bebop
This was the first anime from the 90’s I watched and I really loved the storyline. It’s superb futuristic and sci-fi, reminding me of many of my favorite novels that take place in space. This anime has a lot of depth, and the unspoken is as powerful as the spoken word.
How to Keep a Mummy
Warning, you will squeal and cry from cuteness if you watch this anime. It’s so adorable and my heart was bursting with happiness during each episode. It’s a short one, but every episode is so well done.
Love is War
Love is War follows two extremely intelligent high school students who don’t want to admit they like each other. The show centers around their convoluted plans to get the other to admit they have feelings. The plots are reminiscent of Death Note, without all the darkness, so if you like that extremely calculated plans, this is a great one.
Inuyasha
The most recent anime I’ve watched is another older one named Inuyasha. It takes place in Feudal Japan following a girl named Kagome who comes from the future and Inuyasha a half demon. I’ve noticed a lot of parallels to the extremely popular anime Demon Slayer, and it’s kept me captivated seeing how they’ll overcome their tribulations.
